Check out the first monthly Food Rendezvous tomorrow, August 28th. at SPARC in Venice. The Food Rendezvous mission is to provide a community gathering place to showcase local food artisans not (yet) found in our farmer's markets. Events will feature all kinds of interesting demos and skill sessions and a food themed movie under the stars - it looks like a great time. You can even bring some of your old cookbooks to swap. I encourage you to check out this organization whose monthly gatherings will take place in a variety of interesting venues all over the city.
$ 10 in advance $15 at the door kids under 12 are free
Entry fee includes a fresh juice spritzer, movie admission and admission to all other events. Click on the link to purchase advance tickets and be sure to bring cash to sample all the treats - the small vendors are not set up to take credit cards. You may want to bring a bag to carry home all those irresistible jars of pickles and jams. Oh I'm already dreaming about toast and jam on Sunday morning...
I will be dropping by SPARC in the early part of the evening on my way to the Genesis event to benefit Art Of Elysium and their wonderful work with severely ill children. So many good things going on!
